In.the matter of the deferred hearing on Vacation of South Main 1--' Street from Jay Street to Ewing Avenue, the Board deferred said hearing until Tuesday May 29th.,1917 at 7:45 P.M. RESOLUTION. - Resolution transferring Board of Public ° Works Authority over Ewing Avenue unto the Board of Park Commissioners: With full control over said Avenue from Boulevard purposes. ° ° Be It Resolved, by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana; that it us deemed and desired necessary that Ewing Avenue from the center of line o£ .Ernsperger Street to the southeasterly property line of Prairie Avenue, in the City of South Bend, Indiana, be udder the control and supervision of the Board of Park Commissioners of said City, and made a part of the Boulevard system of said City. Be ' It Further Resolved, that the Board of Public Works do now kereby transfer to said Board of Park C ommiss ioners full authority, control and supery is ion over said avenue and renounce in favor of said Board of Park Commissioners, all its power over and to said Avenue for the purpose herein above set out. Reserving, however, u nto this Board of Public Works the right to laJr, connect, and order to be laid and connected all pipes, sewers, conduits and other underground work, retaining hereby for such last named purposes all the power which this Board originally had in and to said Avenue. Resolved by the Board that notice be published on the 24tk. day of bay 1917 and on the 318t . day of Way 1917 in. the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of pipe sewers on Leer Street from. Ewing Avenue to Calvert Street and for pipe sewer on Donald Street from Miami Street to Leer Street, all in the City of South Bend, Indiana, up to 10:00 A.M. on the 5th. day of June 1917. The Board reserves the right to -reject any or all. b ids. Bids for sewer connections on South Frankli.m Street from Indiana Ave. to Ualvert Street, were rejected as being to high.
