54U <br />Hearing had or Improvement Resolution No. 506 for Pavement on alley <br />lying between Bank Out Lots 14 and 15 and between lots 3 and 4 in Miller's Sub. <br />Div. og bank out lots 8 and 9 and between Lots 11 and 13 and lots 10 and 12 in <br />Chapin's Sub. Div, of Bank Out lots 1 and 2 from south line of Lincoln Way Test to <br />-north line of Colfax Avenue, In the City of South Bend, - Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing a remonstrator appeared but no written remonstrance <br />was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that -the <br />benefits to property liable to be assessed for chid improvement are equal to the <br />estimated cost cif th 9 same, as reported by the City Civil Eng ineerm and thereupon <br />takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby <br />in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that not•i es be published on the 22nd day of May <br />1917 and on the 29th. day of Uay 1917 in a newspaper of general circulation in said <br />City; stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said <br />improvements, tip to 10:00 A.U. on the 5th. day of June 1917. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said <br />rollsClf fled April 24th. ,1917 is benef itted in the - amount of assessments as shown <br />on said rolls, and the Board further find that the assessment rolls filed April 24th. <br />1917 and the final estimate allowedApril 24th.°1917 should be and the same is hereby <br />in all things ratified, confir-ed and Approved. ° <br />Hearing given on Vacation' Resolution No. 38 for Vacation of Scott <br />Street from point 30 feet north of the south - line of lot 7 in Raff's First Add. <br />to the northerly line of Raff's 3rd. This matter was referred to the Street Commissioner for <br />invest igat ion. <br />Councilman --Seifert appeared before- the Board in regard to water <br />mains being placed on Foster Street from Howard Street one block. Same referred to <br />the Water . Department for investigation. <br />'In regard to the hearing on south Main Street from Ewing Avenue <br />to . Jay Street , the vacation of same, The Board decided, to hold up said decision <br />until their made trip to investigation said street. ' Same deferred until <br />Tuesday Uay 15th. ,1917 at 7: 45 P.U. <br />The Width of roadways in. Harter Heights Addition was discussed by the <br />Board, and it was decided to leave said roadwaysat wuidth of Thirty (30) feet as <br />v.-platted. The Board decided to discuss this further at Water Works meeting to be <br />held Wednesday Uay 9th. ,1917, when they would take up the matter of where taps <br />were placed in said stbeets. <br />The Board ordered that the City Attorney be requested to draw up an <br />-notice to be served on the Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Railway Co]ppaay <br />to start work on Mishawaka Avenue within Ten tlO) days after notice is served. <br />
