Company with Mr. <br />v <br />Kasppis appeared before the Board in regard to obstructions in way of paving street <br />on Eddy Street and Mishawaka Avenue, and presented following communication. <br />South Bend.. Indiana April 19th. <br />1917. <br />To the Beard of Public Works <br />City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gentlemea: . . <br />We are pleased to inform you that we have our paving organization on the <br />ground and ex-oect to begin operations within the next fear days: We were in hopes of <br />starting work in Mishawaka Ave. & Eddy Street improvements, but an inspection of these <br />two streets shows that aa, very large amount of preliminary work must be done before we can <br />s tert operaavt ions: <br />These streets are to be increased in width and there are to be found within <br />the new lAaes of these improvements the following obstructions; The Bell , Home, Western. <br />Union and Electric light poles, lamp pests, fire hydrants and the poles of the Traction <br />Co. <br />We presume however that the poles of the letter company will be taken care of as <br />soon as the reconstruction of their tracks are begun. <br />We would respectfully ask that you notify all of the foregoing companies having <br />obstructio is within the lines of these improvements to have same rtmoved at once. <br />Yours very truly, <br />W.
