ANDERSON* City Civil Engineer of South Bead, Indiana, RESOLUTION FOR SERVICE CONNECTIONS WITH MAINS.. No. ,511. WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works -on the 27tk.. °day of February 1917 did adopt a resolution ordering and requiring the -permanent improvement of Franklin Street from Indiana Avenue to Calvert Street, by paving the roadway of the same, and WHEREAS, tke City civil Engineer has prepared and filed in the office of this Board a report showing the number and location of the service pipes, mains, conduits, laterals, and, connections which are, or will be accessary to accommodate the -abutting property and the owners t)Lerepf with gas, water, sewer, and other conveniences and necessaries; and also said City Civil Engineer has prepared and filed in salv# office specifications showing the material to be used and the maaaer of laying' said service pip►es,•mains, conduits, laterals and coarse ctions frR "the �jins to the points . inside od the curb line. THEREFOREW be it resolved by the Board of Public Works of tke City of South Bead, Ind iaxa, tkat tkc report of tke City Civil Engineer is adopted, and said report and the specif icat ions . prepared and filed by him are made a part of this revolution as fully and effectually as if copied herein at Bill lengt.k; sad it is further ordered that all of suck private connections with the sewer, gna and water Maixs be made in°-sa;id street by bringing them inside the curb line thereof. And be it Furtket resolved that notice by publication for two succeesia days in the .Sputa Bend Tribune ;& newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of South Bead, Indiana be given to the. owners of the iLproperty abutting upon said street to` be improved directing them to stake suck sewer and water connections are not on` or before said time and in ac-cordance witk the sp¢e if icat ions and report on f ile is the off ice of the Board of Public Works, thence said Board will cause the same to be made and will aasess the cost thereof - against the property abutting upon said street, and shall do all other thiugs pertaining thereto according to the provisions and requiremenets of Ordinance �o. 1.842 adopted by the Common' Couac il, of the City of South Bead on July 24,1916; xd Of all other ordinances and laws relating thereto. And be it furtker resolved and ordered that after the 20 day period has elapsed for tke making of said connections by the property wners, a notice shall be published' for two weeks; once eack week, in the South Bead Tribuxe, Ia newspaper of general circulation published in said City, requestixg _bids from contractors for the making of suck connections as have-not been -mow by the propert,yoeners and suck notice shall fix a day,, -not earlier tkan ten Aaya -_after tke first of suck publications, wken bids shall be opened sad a -contract let for tke doing of said work. And be 'it Further ordered that the Northern Indiana Gas & E.l style Cmpany, which kolde a franchise from, and is empowered by said City to furaisk gas to the citizens thereof, and is engaged in said business is said City; is here by directed to.make and install all service connections with its maias in said street in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1555, adopted June .27, 1910, and such other ordinances or laws applicable thereto; wkick connections are shown dp" the report of property abutting upon said street.
