Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present'. ✓Mr. Chas. Calvert, Secretary of the Indiana & Michigan Elec. Co. appeared before the -Board and informed the :Board that his company wanted to bid April lath. ,191'7 on electric lights in River Park, The Board instructed the City Engineer to file a set of spec if icat ions .for electric lights. F U, r,j J. Jones appeared before the Board and objected Ito the number of rater taps to be put in on his property on?Corby Street. This matter was: referred ✓ to the Water Works Department to be taken up at 10:00 A*M. April 4th..,1917. vermission granted to R. J. Zimmerman to extend Cottage Grove Avenue I sewer down alley to lot 41 Cobbts Sub.' Div. Same to be public sewer after construct# Petition filed for a pipe sewer on- Cedar Street from Eddy Street to alley east of Walsh.Street and on Summer Street from.Cedar Street to Madison Street. Same referred to the City Engineer for investigation. The City Engineer presented the following report. *arch 31,1917. To the Honorbble Board -of Public Forks, South Bend, Indiana. Gentlemen: In regard to the attached petition for a sewer on Queen Street from Portage Avenue, to Allen Street, I beg toreport that I have investigated the matter and find that a sewer of adequate depth cannot be constructed on Queen Street east of Blaine Avenue for the reason that the outlet is not deep enought. A sewer can be constructed west.of Blaine Avenue by extending the Blaine Ave. sewer from McCartney Street to Queen Street and then west on Queen Street. Respectfully submitted, Frederick J. Anderson, City Engineer. The Board placed the above report on file. Communication received from H. S. Cover in regard to petitions filed for sidewalk, curb and electric lights,on Chippewa Avenue from Donmeyer Avenue to City Limits. Same read and placed on file. The ,order for additional gas lights on Mishawaka Avenue, River Park ordered held up until Tuesday April loth. ,1917 at 10:00 A.M. Remonstrance from property asking for the removal of the Western Con- JStructinn. Company asphalt plant from the Vandalia Round house South Bend, Indiana. The Board ordered the same held up for two weeks.
