3 Z2 Board met in. regular session at 10: 00 A.M. Mr. A. H. Rice absent. Mr. Charles A. Calvert, Secretary of the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company appeared before the board and .presented petition for the 'vacation of alley which lies between lots 21 and .22 in the Original Plat of Lowell , in the City of South Bend , Indiana, The Board signed resolution for such vacation proceedings.. The Board ordered that twenty six new 60 candle power gas lights be placed in River Park, the Clerk was instructed to have said list of lights written ✓ up for the regular session of the Board April 3rd.1917 at 10:00 A.M. for their approval. VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 35.1917. Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana; That it is desir®Ile to vacate the following: Begin at a point on the south line of Ewing Avenue where the west line of Main Street as -platted in Bwwman's Addition produced south interests the south line of Ewing Avenue; thence south to a point 50 feet north of the northeast corner of lot one (1) Eckmants Oakside Plat in section 24 Tp. 37 N. R. 2 E,, thence east 99 feet to a point 50 feet north of the northwest corner of lot 9 in said.Oakside Plat; thence north to a point on the south line of Ewing Avenue_99 feet east of beginning; thence west 99 feet to the place of beginning. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation: Beginning at the intersection of the south line of Donald Street and the east line of the right of way of the Terre Haute & Logansport Railway Co. thence south along the east line of, said right of way -to the center line Of the first alley south of Eckman Street; thence east along the center of the first alley south of Eckman Street to the center of the center of the first � lley west of Main Street; thence south along the center of the first alley west of Main Street to the center of the first alley south of Woodside Street; thence east along the center of the first alley .south of. Woodside • Street to the center of the first alley east of Main Street; thence northalong the center of the first alley east of Main Street to the south line of Donald Street; thence west on the south line of Donald Street to the place of beginning. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 3rd. day of April 1917 and on the loth. day of April 1917 in the South Bend Daily Tribune. This Board at its office in the City Hall on the 1st. day of May 1917 at 7.45 P.M. will hear'and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings.
