Miami Road from Kern Road to Jackson Road <br />Added Travel Lanes - City of South Bend, <br />Indiana <br />LFA provided construction inspection services for the <br />reconstruction and widening of Miami Road between Jackson <br />Road and Kern Road including significant utility relocations, <br />new storm sewer construction, curb and gutters, sidewalks, <br />drives, traffic signal installation, QA/QC PCCP paving <br />and coordination of local detour and maintenance of traffic <br />operations with South Bend Community School Corporation. <br />Project issues included extensive utility conflicts and resident <br />access coordination. LFA ensured coordination with local <br />residents for proper advanced notification of alternate routing <br />of access for homeowners, <br />LFA provided complete construction inspection services in <br />accordance with INDOT criteria and played a key role in all <br />on -going construction engineering decisions. Construction <br />documentation was completed using INDOT's SiteManager <br />software. <br />Diamond Avenue Reconstruction Project <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />The Diamond Avenue Reconstruction project consisted of <br />a full reconstruction of Diamond Avenue pavement, storm <br />drainage, construction of a roundabout, and installation of a <br />pedestrian / bike path near the Notre Dame Campus. LFA <br />was intricately involved in coordination of the Maintenance <br />of Traffic for Notre Dame football weekends. LFA also <br />managed and responded to public comments and responses <br />during construction. <br />N <br />South Main Street to South Lafayette Boulevard <br />Connector - City of South Bend, Indiana <br />LFA studied the Erskine Development Area to determine a <br />Preferred Alternative providing a connecting link between South <br />Main Street to Ireland Road. The project involved traffic volume <br />projections, signalized intersection engineering analysis, and co- <br />ordination of redevelopment scenarios. The plans included arte- <br />rial and collector streets, Right -of -Way design, utility design and <br />coordination, street lighting, and four signalized intersections. <br />Major design elements included interconnected storm sewers <br />with detention and retention basins, balanced with horizontal <br />and vertical constraints.
