Mr. <br />Gilot seconded the motion, which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Inks stated that a request to pay the following claims in the amounts indicated has been <br />received by the Board; each claim is fully supported by an invoice; the person receiving the <br />goods or services has approved the claims; and the claims have been filed with the City Fiscal <br />Officer and certified for accuracy. <br />Name Amount of Claim Date <br />City of South Bend $3,943,596.50 05/I 1/2012 <br />City of South Bend $936,033.90 05/10/2012, <br />05/15/2012 <br />City of South Bend $2,735,837.03 05/15/2012 <br />Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that after review of the expenditures, the claims be approved <br />as submitted. Mr. Gilot seconded the motion, which carried. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />Mr. Murray Miller, Local 362, asked the Board if the City is purchasing the CRAH units for Data <br />Realty. He questioned if they were already given a tax abatement. Mr. Gilot stated the City is <br />buying the units but they were not given a tax abatement for their property; they agreed to install <br />certain energy improvement incentives. Mr. Inks stated they are getting an abatement only for the <br />air conditioning units. He noted the City is capped at $900,000.00 to invest in the units, and that <br />is equivalent to what Data Realty would have gotten if they had gotten a tax abatement for their <br />property. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, <br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the meeting adjourned at 11:07 a.m. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC`°�iVOR S <br />Gary A.
