ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~ ~ 3 `~-~ <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA MAHING TECHNICAL CORRECTIONS TO <br />ORDINANCES 9450-03 AND 9527-04 -FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES OF <br />APPOINTED OFFICERS AND NON-BARGAINING EMPLOYEES IN THE YEARS <br />2004 AND 2005 <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The purpose of this Ordinance is to make technical corrections to Ordinance Numbers 9450- <br />03 and 9527-04 fixing the maximum salaries of appointed officers and non-bargaining employees <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana for the calendar years 2004 and 2005 by adding inadvertent <br />omissions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCII. OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, IlVDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section I. Ordinance No. 9450-03 and 9527-04 is amended to include the following: <br />Section II. <br />The Mayor, at his or her discretion, may offer to a City department head , as <br />part of such person's emnloyment benefits and in lieu of a City-owned <br />vehicle, a sum equal to the reasonable commercial lease value of a <br />comparable City owned vehicle. This benefit may range from one ($1.00) to <br />five hundred dollars ($500.00) per month. <br />All other provisions of Ordinance No. 9450-03 and 9527-04 are hereby reaffirmed, ratified <br />and continued in full force and effect. <br />Section II. This Ordinance shall be retroactive for years 2004 and 2005 and be in full force <br />and effect from and after the time it has been adopted by the Common Council and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />Member, South Bend Co on Council <br />
