PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />APRIL 23, 2012 3:48 P.M. <br />Committee Members Present: <br />Karen White, Gavin Ferlic, Dr. David Varner <br />Other Council: <br />Tim Scott, Valerie Schey, Dr. Fred Ferlic, Oliver Davis, Derek Dieter <br />Citizen Member: <br />Tammy McNally <br />Others Present: <br />Mike Danch, Sheri Miller- Story, Mary Neal, Mike Meacham, Kevin Allen, Kathy Cekanski - Farrand, <br />Don Inks <br />Agenda: Bill No. 12 -05 — Promotes Transparency of Council Appointees to <br />Boards /Commissions <br />Personnel & Finance Chairperson Karen White asked Councilmember Oliver Davis to make a <br />presentation of this resolution he had drafted. Oliver stated that in the fast changing arena of city <br />government the Council needs more feedback from various boards and commissions than the <br />current annual report. Mr. Davis said the Council's appointees to these bodies should report back <br />to the Council on a quarterly basis. Oliver asked for support from fellow Councilmember's of this <br />resolution and input for consideration and possible inclusion in the bill making these reports a <br />requirement to be considered at the next meeting on May 14 th <br />After brief discussion Gavin Ferlic moved the bill get a favorable recommendation. Dr. Varner <br />seconded and all supported. <br />There being no further business to come before the committee at this time, Chairperson White <br />adjourned the meeting at 3:59 p.m. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />1 <br />Karen L.
