L'.. 1. ` ; RESOLUTION NO. 28 -1987 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND RESOLUTION NO. 811 OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AGREEING TO THE CONVEYANCE AND ACCEPTANCE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY. WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (Commission) holds title in fee simple to certain real property located at the northwest corner of South St. Joseph Street and East Wayne described hefsouows• Bend Central Development Area, more particularly • A part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 37 North, Range 2 East of the Second of Principal Meridian, Portage Township, City Fifty South Bend, Indiana being a P two (52) of (50), and Fifty -one (51) and Fifty - the Original Plat of South Bend, Indiana more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the Westerly right - of -wa�� line of St. Joseph Street (85 foot right -of -way) with the North right-of-way lin of Wayne Street (82.5 foot right-of-way), e the North West (bearing assumed) along right -of -way line of Wayne Street 0048.84 feet; thence North 00 027100" West, thence North 89 039134" East, 165.61 feet; thence Southwesterly 186.99 feet along a segment of a curve to the right having 4 radius of 912.43 feet, 042119" West andr bearing a length of 04 186.66 feet South 04 to the point of beginning; and WHEREAS, the Commission has evainathe SouthnBenddCentralpated land usage and associated parking needs of Development Area and has determined that or the development ofsa parking the hihest an s the above described real property 440 parking spaces; and facility consisting of approximately WHEREAS, the South Bend Board of Public Works (Board) is the body charged with the construction odinfor and parkingother facilitiess andneeded structure for public purposes, and, particularly, WHEREAS, the Board has adopted Resolution No. 24 -1987 at its September 15, 1987, meeting determining acesnat the northwest corner need facility of approximately 440 parking P South St. Joseph Street and East Wayne Street in the City of South Bend; and WHEREAS, at its September 14, 1987 meeting, the South Bend Common Council approved the use of the above described property for a parking facility by Resolution No. 1533 -87; and WHEREAS, after notice and public hearing, the Board adopted Resolution No. 27 -1987 confirming Resolution No. 24 -1987; and WHEREAS, I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8 provides that governmental entities may transfer or exchange property upon terms and conditions mutually agreed upon and for any amount of consideration as agreed upon, pursuant to ® the adoption of substantially identical resolutions by each entity.
