ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br /> INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN <br /> DEPARTMENTAL AND ENTERPRISE OPERATIONS IN 2018 OF $157,435 FROM <br /> CONSOLIDATED BUILDING FUND (#600), $190,000 FROM SOLID WASTE <br /> OPERATIONS (#610), $12,000 FROM WATER WORKS CUSTOMER DEPOSIT <br /> (#624), $8,000 FROM WATER WORKS DEBT SERVICE (#625), $10,000 FROM <br /> WATER WORKS BOND RESERVE (#626), $25,000 FROM WATER WORKS O&M <br /> RESERVE (#629), $6,600 FROM SEWAGE WORKS OPERATING (#641), AND <br /> $55,000 FROM SEWAGE WORKS O&M RESERVE (#643). <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council passed the City's 2018 operating and capital budgets in <br /> 2017 (Ordinance#10537-17 passed on October 23, 2017), which included expenditures <br /> for various City enterprise operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds <br /> for operational expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services to its <br /> citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br /> Section I.
