Captain Scott Webber of the South Bend <br /> Fire Department coordinated the basketball tournament to collect canned goods and/or <br /> financial donations for the Kroc Center's food pantry. The tournament takes place <br /> Sunday,April 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Kroc Center at 900 <br /> West Western Ave. <br /> "This is an opportunity to have fun while supporting a good cause," said Webber. "The <br /> Kroc Center opened its doors to both fire and police departments to partake in an event <br /> that will benefit families in the community." <br /> The cost for entry is $3 or three canned goods. There are two teams competing in the <br /> tournament. The South Bend Fire and Police Departments will take on the Mishawaka <br /> Fire and Police Departments. <br /> Both departments will have safety training and vehicles on location for interactive <br /> demonstrations for children.
