Talboom Deputy <br /> <br /> <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br /> <br />Council Vice-President Oliver Davis advised that due to the absence of Council President <br />Dieter the minutes from the Monday, February 13, 2012 Council Meeting will be <br />approved at the Monday, March 12, 2012, South Bend Common Council Meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4153-12 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, PUBLICLY <br />COMMENDING AND HONORING <br />HOWARD W. BUCHANON II FOR HIS <br />MORE THAN 38 YEARS OF <br />DEDICATED SERVICE ON THE SOUTH <br />BEND FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />Whereas, the Common Council notes that at the age of 5, Howard Buchanon II <br />became fascinated by the roar of fire trucks and the red lights of ambulances as he grew <br />up on the east side of South Bend, and later graduated from John Adams High School; <br />and <br /> <br />Whereas, Howard Buchanon II’s more than 38 year career on the South Bend Fire <br />Department began when Fire Chief Jack Bland contacted him for a training class after a <br />vacancy became available; and <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
