37'l <br />Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.M. All members present. <br />Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for Asphalt pavement <br />on Michigan Street from La Salle Avenue toSouthStreet under Improvement Resolution <br />No 415. In the` City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared( a few property owners <br />attended said hearing) and no written remonstrance was filed. The Board therefore <br />find that the property assessed in said rolls -filed January 24th.,1917 is bene- <br />f itted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, and the Board further <br />find that the assessment rolls filed January 24th. ,1917 and the f inAl estimate <br />allowed January 24th.,1917 should be and the same are hereby in all things rati- <br />fied, confirmed and approved. The Board ordered that the City Controller be <br />notified to hold out of funds owing The Western Construction Company, contractors <br />on said improvement, the sum of Five hundred ($500.00)Dollars until further order <br />from the Board. Clerk instructed to send copy of said order to Controller <br />maintenance agreement of the Burrough'w Adding:ltachine Co. for care of <br />adding machine. in Cif Engineer's office for ensuing year submitted to the Board, <br />name was not agreed to by the Boardip <br />mdnthly report of the 'Building Department for the month of Ranuary <br />1917 signed by C. A. Perkins building.commissioner filed with the Board. <br />Monthly report of the Cemetery Department signed by G. M. Urey , Sext on <br />f i1 ed with the Board. <br />Complaint file d by Herman Arndt of 121 W. Sample Street about two <br />-poles in front of 1306 Miami.Street. Pole and Wire Inspector reports as follows <br />on said'compkiint.*. These are Central`Union Telephone Company poles. The poles <br />are properly placed the°best they can be done as the cable crosses the New York <br />Central Railway on -Maimi Street. The Central Union Tel. Company has a permit <br />granted tg set these poles.
