<br />The City Engineer submitted the list of property owners in the matter
<br />of the approprIation of` certain property under .Condemnation Resolution Nel 46, for the
<br />opening of a boulevard :along north, side of River from Notre Dame Street to St. Peter
<br />Street, in the. C4ty of South Bend, Indiana as per resolution on page 297 this record
<br />adapted Aovember 14th.,1916. Which list includes the -names of,the owners and holders
<br />of property and of interests therein sought to Abe taken or b_ea of is ially or injuriously
<br />affected, and the description of the several pietes of property which is affected by
<br />said appr opr iat ion pre a ed ings,
<br />Thereupon the Board proceeded: to award the damages sustained and to
<br />assess the benefits accruing to eacli- piece- of property`'upon said list.
<br />It was thereupon, upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously
<br />adopted,- resolved that said list, together with the amounts, of benefits and damages and
<br />net benefits and net damages therein set -forth as to-theseveral parcels of Land he
<br />adopted and that the respective amounts of benefits contained in said roll be and are
<br />hereby assessed lagainat the several tracts of land as specifically set forth in said
<br />list, and that the several tracts of land as specifically, set forth in said.. list, and What
<br />the net benefits or net damages, as the case may be as the respective tracts• :of -land,,
<br />c onta ined in said list are hereby awarded or assessed, as the case may be as to the .
<br />said several tracts of ' land.
<br />The Board hereby further sets off the benef its and damages each
<br />aga inst the -other where both benefits and damages are assessed, against the same piece of
<br />property,_ tract of land or interest, and hereby Fixes, said respectdve 'net�benefits, as the
<br />amount that shall be paid by the respective owners as benefits and further hereby fixes
<br />the respective net damages as to the sevral tracts as the amount that shall be paid to the
<br />owners > of the respective tracts as damages.
<br />Thereupon, upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously adopted,
<br />the -6th day of March 1917 at 7: 45 P.U. was fixed as . the day on which this Board will
<br />receive or hear remonstrances from persons with regard to the amouzkt, of their respective
<br />awards or assessments and the Clerk of this , Board was . intrusted to prepare ,and cause
<br />to be duly and legally given, notices to the owners of each parcel of property, showing.
<br />the amount of .the assessmentsor award, with ,a description of the properaty affected., and
<br />the date of said hear ing.

<br />.Beginning at a stake in the Country Road, leading _from , South Bead tin,
<br />Mishawaka ( now known as Mishawaka Avenue) at the angle where said road ( or Avenue)
<br />strikes the section line d iv id ing sections 7 and 18 Township 37 north -range 3 Fast at
<br />a_ point twenty-four and hirty eight hundreths (24.38) chains `west of -the quarter post
<br />in said section .line, thence running east four and sixty hundreths (4600 chain s to'a
<br />stone in the center of said road (or avenue) thence south twenty three (23) chains
<br />to a stake at the St. Joseph River; thence down said River north forty two and one half
<br />44 )degrees west six and eight two hundreths (6.82) chains meandering with the same
<br />until it strikes a line running due south from the place of beginning. Thence north
<br />seventeen and ninety eight hundreths (17.98) chars to the place of beginning, containing
<br />nine. and forty hundreths (9.42) acres more or less. 9
<br />The lots are numbered from one (1) to fifty five (55) inclusive and the
<br />d imens ions are shown on the annexed plat in feet and fractions of a foot., The streets
<br />and alleys `are of the width marked on the plat in feet.. All streets and alleys hereon shown,
<br />not heretofore public highways, are hereby dedicated tothe ,public for use as _public
<br />highway. `
