Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Railroad Company, South Bend, Indiana, Gentlemen. — In In con,1deration of the removal by you of the poles to which, the span wizen supporting your trolley ;wires on kichigan Streets, in South Bend, ere . attached, hereby atthprize you to- attach said psan fires to the buildings known as 28-130. South -,Michigan Stre-et and 226-228`South Michigan Street,' subject to the following, conditions; 1'that theattar ments shall be made• in• a workmanlike manner and so as not to injure K-any., way the. budlding. or walls or deface the same; (2) That you pay all costs of making. and me.intaining such attachments; and (�) That you will hereafter remove the same, or either of them, at any time upon sixty days notice. - Tours truly, Tp ST. North Michigan Street South Bend, Indiana, does hereby grant to "the Chicago, South Bend- & Northern Indiana railway Company the right to .construct and maintain . a fixture on the building located on said property, for the support of span wires to be used for trolley suspension wire. This consent is given with the understanding that said Railway C omnany will assume liability for accidents and for damage to said building, which` are caused by said attachment, if such damage is caused vy the Chicago, South Bend ,& Northern Indiana railway Company This consent is given in consideration for the removal of trolley poles . from the street in front of the property of the undersigned. It. is understood and agreed that if :klkz for any. mason any of said span wires cannot be so attached and supported or said railway Company, its successor€, or assigns, is. prevented from. making or maintaindng, such. attachment, that it or they shall :have the .right to replace and maintain trolley poles in their stead to support such span wires.
