Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.M. Mr. A. H Rice absent. Hearing had on improvement Resolution No. 478 for Hravel pavement on, Ewing Avenue from Miami Street. to point 1320 feet west of ,Miami Street, in the City of South Bend;:, Ind isna Upon said hearing a remora-€ftrator appeased but -no written remonstrance was filed. And the Boardbeingfully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to_ property liable -to be -assessed for said improvements are equal -tm the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and. thereupn takes final act icon on said resolution�"as. orig nail adopted, and the same 13 hereby In all things, rat if ied, , confirmed and "`approved. Resolved further, that notices bepubl ished fan the 26th. day of October 1916and on the 2nd day of November 1916, in a newspaper of general c ircualation in said City, stating that this Board -will receive bids for the construction of said improvements, ` up to 10:`00 AX. on 'Vl i,' 14th. ` day of -November 1916. In the City of South Bend, Indiana** Upon said hearing remonstrators a °speared btt no written remonstrance was filed. The Board after due consideration decided to defer said hearing until Tuesday March 6th. 1916 at 7:45 P.M.Clerk instructed to send out cards in time for hearing. Rev. Emery Allen appeared before the Board and presented petition for pavement an alley between Franklin Street and Lafayette Street from Monroe Street to South Street. The same was referred to the City Engineer for investigation, Henry Slot contractor on the Cleaning and deepening of McCartney Creek appeared before the Board in regard to the number of yards of excavation in his contract. The Board instructed the City Engineer to investigate this matter and report to the Board. Contract for p*pe sewer on Miner Street from Notre Dame Avenue to St. Peter Street awarded to L. H. Webster for the amount of ..... $687.25 Contract for pipesewer on Dale Avenue from Indiana Avenue to_Dubail Ave. awarded to L. H. Webster for the amount of.....................$543.32 The Board ordered that the Building Commissiner purchase an L. C. Smith typewriter from the Typewriter Shop for the sum of.....$45.00 Engineer filed assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer on D onald Street from Michigan Street to Main Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 455. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Resolved, that notices as to th amounts of assessments as required by statute be published on the 26th. day of October 1916. and on the 2nd. day of November 1916 In the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on.the amount of such assessments at its pffice in the City Hall on the 14th. day of G44 1916. at 7:45 P.M. Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contract be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolu- tion shall be published on the 26th. day of October 1916.and on the 2nd. day of November 1916 in the, South Bend daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the accetance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 14th. day of November 1916.. at 7:45 P.M.
