All members present. <br />:Petition filed on ° Friday October.6th.,1916. and the opening of same <br />continued until -this date,;for the kind of.pavement on Euclid Avenue from La Porte <br />Avenue to walnut Street, were opened by the Board and referred to the City <br />Engineer for tabulat ion to be reported on at 7: 45 P.M. this loth. day of 0etber <br />19161. <br />Bids -were received, opened and read for water connections on Euclid <br />Avenue from La Porte Avenue to W lnut Street, a d on L P to AA e e remrLii® en <br />ve u to Washington Avenue, The same were referred o i ie Ci y ngfin f r <br />abu�`a ion to be reported at 7: 45 P.M. this loth., day of :October 1916:. <br />No bids were received for --sidewalk on Lincoln Way West .from <br />Fremont Street to west line of Kensington . This matter deferred until 7:45 P.M.,. <br />this loth. day of October 1916#. <br />This being, the date set for deferred hearing on Resolution No. 2 <br />for Track Separation of the Few York Central Railroad Company from Chapin Street <br />this C ity to Michigan. Street th is C ity. <br />In the above matter the following representatives of the various <br />railroads and railway companies appeared. Attorneys Van Fleet and Hubbell, <br />Mr. G..C.. Cl1feland, Civil Engineer, H. B. Reinsagen, Asst. Princ.. C. Engineer, <br />Mr. D. C. Moen General Mgr. Mr. Walker and Mr. E. H. Potter, Agent all for the <br />New York Central Railroad Company,.Attorney W. G. Crabill and H. L. Going,Citil <br />Engineer for the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company and F. I. Hardy for°the <br />Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Ry. Company. <br />This natter having been duly considered, the Board indicated and <br />announced to the various companies interested that their findings will be these. <br />✓The lift` at the interlocker should be Five and one half;'fe-et (5j) feet and one ` <br />more foot (1) of depression at Chapin Street from Resolution No. 2 and Fifteen <br />(15) feet of clearance for the Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Ry. Company <br />and that the formal order should be prepared by the legal department of the <br />various companies, anti the Cityts and to be ready for adoption next Tuesday October <br />17th. ,1916 at 10: 00 A.M. <br />City Engineer filed estimated cost of pipe sewer improvement on <br />McPherson Street from Thomas Street to Division Street at...............$1,040.00 <br />City Engineer filed estimated cost of pipe sewer improvement on <br />Poster Street from Howard Street to St. Vincent Street at...............$850.00 <br />Contract approved by the Board with the Brilliant Electric Division <br />for the amount of $300.00 for electric light bulbs to be used by various City <br />Departments. <br />The City Engineer reported on the moving of the posts for the <br />ci Welsbach Street 1 ight ing system on Mishawaka Avenue as 8ollowe: - <br />Board of Public Works:- <br />Gentlemen:- Purusant to your request in the above matter, I beg to report the dame <br />has been carefully investigated by this department, I have taken this matter` up with <br />Mr. Schlagel of the Northern Indiana Gas & Electric Company and he stated that it <br />was difficult to make an estimate of this work, but if it did not prove to be too <br />expensive that the company would do the work as they went along with their tape <br />and not make a charge for the work. <br />Frederick J.
