25L <br />Board net in regular. session at 10:00 A.M. Mr.A. H. Rice absent. <br />✓ Bids were received, opened and read for Grade, curb walk on Ninth <br />Street from Pleasant Street to the St. Joseh River. Same referred to the City <br />Engineer for -tabulation. <br />'The Clerk was instructed to refer the matter of moving the turn <br />- table of the Michigan Central Ry. Company on Cedar. St. and also the flooringr of <br />the viaduct over Leeper Avenue to the City Attorney for action. <br />Mr. Vernon C. Hastings appeared before the Board and presented a <br />proposed plat of the Shively estates along Ewing, Avenue and Calvert Street. No <br />action taken. <br />Clerk instructed to write to Mr. C. N. Chubb, Mgr. of the Northern <br />Indiana Gas & Elec. Company and state that the Board expects to pave Eddy Street <br />r/ and Mishawaka Avenue early in the Spring of 1917 and will insist that all under- <br />ground work must be done this Fall, if for any reason that they cannot do this <br />work this Fall to let the Board know at once. <br />Bond and contract for Grade, curb and w&ILk on Washi-Igton Avenue <br />from Sunnyside Avenue to Jacob Street under Improvement Resolution No. 461. <br />signed by Hugh Anderson and approved by the Board.. <br />Bond and contract for pipe.sewer on Push, Milton, Fellows, Columbia, <br />Carroll Street Benton Court a-d St. Joseph Street from Calvert Street to St. <br />Joseph River signed by De Pea--e & Coussens was approved by the Board. <br />Bond and contract for pine sewer on Tecumseh Avenue from Pokagon <br />Street to a point 15 feet north of the south line of lot 375 Hillcrest Addition, <br />signed by De Pea,,e & Coussens, was approved by the Board. <br />Bond and contract for sidewalk on west ide of Kemble Avenue from <br />/ 01:iver Street to Ewing Avenue signed by C. L. Headley and approved by the Board. <br />The following communication received by the City Engineer was referred to the <br />Bo: rd. . <br />City Engineer office. <br />Gent 1er_Zen: <br />VII 1•r,,e Warner Bldg. S.E. Cor. Mich. & Wayne St. is supplied with water <br />taps (3) on tdayne St. side and you are now putting in tap on Michigan St. <br />contrary to my talk with water Supt. and all parties connected fiith the office. <br />said tap will not be used and therefore an expense to me for nothing. <br />The sewer you report at #5205 S.
