E M. MO RRI S PRESIDENT. RESOLUTION OF THE BmARD OF PUBLIC 'CORKS No. 441, On Motion duly made and seconded., the following preamble and resolutions were unanimously adopted:— WHEREAS, This Board did on the l9th. day of April 1916 deem it expedient and of public utility to permamently improve Jacquith Court fry, Chapin Street to PrairiE. Avenue by paving the roadway, of the same, end did on said date pass and adopt a rwsolut ion authorizing said Permanent improvement, and, WHEREAS, The City Engineer h s prepared and filed with this Board a report showing the number and location, as well F-s.the materiel to be used and the manner of laying the same, of the service pipe s mains, conduits, laterals and connections which are, or will be, necessary to accommodate the abutting property owners with gas, water, heat, steam or any other product for which any person, firm or eorporation has been granted a franchise for supplying the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, which report on file- - In the Office of the Board. BE IT RESOLVED, That said report of said City Engineer be and is hereby adopted. And be it further Resolved, That it is contemplated by this Board to improve Jacquith Court from Chapin Street to Prairie Avenue, all in said City of South Bend, by tree co istruction of a pavement, and that it is, and is hereby so declaredl necessary for the Northern Indiana Gas & Electric Company, which has, and operates under, a franchise from si said City to supply gas to the Citizens of said City, to provide and install manins, laterals , service pipes and connections for ga -s in said part of said street, of the description, location and number set forth in said report of said City Engineer, which mains, service pipes and connections are hereby declared necessary for the immediate use of said Company in supplying gas tonthe owners of property abtting upon said part of said street.
