Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. Mr, A. H. Rice absent. Bids were received,` opened quid read for the construction of pavement on `Michigan Street From the northerly line of La Salle Avenue to the south line of South Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 415. The same were referred to the City Civil Engineer for tabulation to be reported on if ;ready at 7:45 P.M. this 4th. day of April 1916 at regulat session of the Board. Bids were received, opened and read for construction of pavement on Indians. Avenue from Leer Street to Kemble Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 416 The same were referred to the City Civil Engineer for tabulation to be reported on at regular session of the Board ati7:45 P.M. this 4th. day of April 1916. Bids were received opened and read for pipe sewer on Hoose Court from Chapin Street to 100 feet west of tkie west line of Scott Street, under Improvement Resolution No, 415. The same wwre referred to the City Civil Engineer for tabulation to be' reported on at regular session of the Board to be held at 7:45 P.M. this 4th. day of Apri1,1916. Atty. L. J. Meyers, Attorney for the Chicago, LF:.ke Shore and South Bend Railway Company appeared before the Board in regard to their company placing s fre*ght house on property at the Corner of La Salle Avenue and La Porte Avenue. The some was taken under consideration by the Board. Clerk was instructed to notify Mr. Eli. Seebirt, City Attorney to draw up and present Ordinances for the salaries of the Assistant Building Commissioner and Assistant City Electrician. The following petitions were presented to the Board and referred to the City Engineer for investigation. Concrete pavement curb and walk on Bridge'Street from Colfax Avenue to La Salle Avenue. Pipe sewer on High Street from Indians. Avenue to Broadway. Pipe sewer on Haney Avenue from Michigan Street to High Street. y Pipe sewer on Marietta Street from Dubsit Avenue to Souttb z - . A Establishment of a grade on 2nd. alley west of Vistula Avenue and Dale Avenue south of Indiana Avenue. Petition for an electric light at ,the corner of Miami Street and `Fox Street. The same placed on file until investigated by the Board. The following petitions filed sometime ago for pavements were continued on account of lack of funds for the City!s share of 'pavement. Asphalt pavement on East Broadway from So. Carroll Street to High St. Pavement on Liston Street from Birdsell Street to Adams Street. Pavement on St. Louis St. from Jefferson Blvd. to Division Street. Billboard bond for the stun of $1.000.00 signed by W. E. Bryan vas principal and The Aetna Accident & Liability Co. as sureties was approved by the Board. Wm. H. Ryan, of Lansing, Michigan contractor bidding on Indiana Ave. and. Michigan Street Paving improvement, appeared before the Board after bids were opened and requested that he be given permission to withdraw bids and certified checks in the amounts of $2.100.00 on Michigan St. and $1.74OwOO on Indiana Avenue. The Board granted the same.
