Board met in special session at 11;45 A.M. All members present. <br />Bias were received, opened and read for the painting of the Cemetery <br />fence. There were .five bids received. The Board by unanimous consent awarded the con— <br />tract to Seifert Brothers for the sum of.....153.00 <br />The Clerk was instructed to request the City Attorney to draw a contract <br />for Soifert Brothersto sign.. <br />President. <br />Friday March 24th.,1916. <br />A:special meeting of the Board of Public !Works was called by the <br />President E. M. Morris, to meet at 12:30 P.M. <br />At such meeting the Building Commissioner reported that it would be <br />necessary to have an assistant , owing to the work increasing in, his office beyond his con— <br />trol end also that an Assistant electrician shoAld be appointed at once. The Board therefor <br />resolved, th&-V W. D. Teeple be appointed as Assistant Building Commissioner, and provided <br />for his term of office to begin on Monday March 27th.,1916 at a salary of $1,9200.00 per <br />year, subject to the ratification by the Common Oouncil. <br />The Board ordered the Building Commissioner to prepare a notice for <br />an examination for eleetrioial assistant in the Building department. Such examination to be <br />held en provided by the Building Ordinance and to be held on the 31st.&-y of March,,1916 <br />at 9:00 A.M. and fixed the salary for such assistant at - 00 per month, subject to the <br />ratif i-cation of the Common Council, all as per compliance with the Building Ordinance as <br />adopters by the Common Council December 21st.1915. <br />The Building Commissioner was further requested to notify the Board <br />of Examiners for such examination, and prepare the questions of the examinations and to <br />hold examination as provided by the Ordinance aforesaid. <br />President. <br />
