<br />LOCAL SEWER IMPROVEMENT RESOIsUTION N0.414.
<br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, County of
<br />Joseph, State of Indiana, That the construction of a local sewer, intended and adapted
<br />ly for local use by the pr operty holders whose property abuts thereon, and not inteded
<br />adapted for receiving sewerage from collateral drains, be and the same is hereby ordered
<br />and along Caroline Street from the Southerly line of Lincoln Way East to the center line of
<br />yton Street as follows,to-wit:_
<br />Be, _inning at the intersection of the canter lineof Caroline
<br />reet and the southerly line of Lincoln ?day East; thence south along the center line of
<br />roline Street t the center line of Dayton Street with a 121nch vitrified pipe seer. Together
<br />.th the necessary manholes, inlets, conduits and house connections to the curb line along the
<br />ne of said improvement. All as d own on the plans, and in accordance with the profiles,
<br />A detail dravdngs on file in the offJ ce of the Department of Public Works of. the CiV of
<br />uth Bend, Indiana, and said sewer, with all its appurtenan es shall be constructed in a,ccord-
<br />uce with the profile and specifications now o n file in the office of the Department of
<br />.blic-Works of said City. The cost of said improverient shall be apportioned against and
<br />id by the property holders whose property abuts thereon, and upon the C%tsy of South Bend
<br />the City is benef'itted by said improvement, all according to tae method and manner pro-
<br />ded for in Act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled "An Act Concerning
<br />nicipal Corporations, " approved March 611905. Assessments, if deferred, are to be paid in
<br />n equal annual installments, with interest at the .rate of Six Per cent per annum. A bond
<br />.bonds shall be issued to the contractor in payment for such work, unless he property
<br />ners pay said assessments before said bond or bonds are issued. Under no c rcuntstances shall
<br />e City of South Bend': be or be '� ld r^s;�onsible for any sup, or sums dae from said property
<br />ner or o=.hers for said work, or for the ollection of same, or for the payment of any bond or
<br />nds, certificate or certificates, issued to said contractor in payment *br such V0 rk, ex -

<br />Notice ok this resolution shall be published on the 20th. day of December
<br />15 and on the 27th. day of December,1915 in the South Bend Daily Tribune. This Boardwill
<br />ve a hearing on this resolution at its o fice in the City Hall on the llth. day of January
<br />16 at 7:45 P-M.
