Wednesday July 14th. ,1920. at 7: 15 P.M. <br />Communication received from the P-rk Board requesting that <br />lights be placed along drive in Pottowatomie Park and also over o vans. <br />This matter referred to Beaning Pole and Wire Inspector to examine the condition <br />above mentioned and place 3-100 C. P. lights over the ovens as dds fired by the Park <br />Board. <br />Board ordered a special session held Friday July 16th. ,1920. Appraisers <br />on the Widening of Ewing Avenue to be present. <br />Contract for water connections on Jefferson Blvd. from Sgnnys ide <br />Avenue to 121.9 feet west ti8 Greenlawn Avenue was awarded to Jos. Luther at $29002.05 <br />Contract for pavement on north Shore Drive from Lafayette Blvd. to <br />Ir ociuo is Street was awarded to Highways Material Co. at....... $11,780.20 <br />Concerning the improvement of the roadway of '_North Shore Drive <br />from Lafayette Blvd. to Iroquois Street with Asphalt, asphaltic concrete, bitulithic, <br />concrete, or brick, pursuance to resolution No. 770 the Beard finds that no petitions <br />has been filed with said Board by a majority in number of the freeholders res id ing <br />on said street to be improved requesting that it be improved with a different kind of <br />pavement than the kind heretofore adopted by the Board in its preliminary order; <br />and the City Engineer reports that the Highways Materials Company is the lowest and <br />best bidder for the kind of pavement heretofore adopted by the Board, and the Board <br />find . that said Highways Material Company is the lowest and best bidder and hereby <br />lets the contract for said improvement to him, and orders that said improvement be <br />made with Water Bound Macadam and all proceedings heretofore made had in this matter <br />are hereby c onf irmed and ratified. <br />G.
