South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — February 14, 2012 <br />next Redevelopment Commission meeting. <br />Ms. Leonard Inks noted that staff would like to set <br />a public hearing for 4:00 p.m., March 13, 2012, for <br />an additional appropriation for the Blackthorn Golf <br />Club. Ms. Leonard also noted that Blackthorn <br />Golf Club will be hosting an LPGA event at its <br />course in August, so there will be increased <br />revenues from that to allocate. The Blackthorn <br />staff expects the event to be revenue neutral, but <br />there will be expenses that need to be allocated. <br />Staff will have the numbers at the March 13, 2012, <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Varner asked whether they were getting <br />sponsors, to which Ms. Leonard Inks replied that <br />the Four Winds Casino is a major sponsor. <br />Ms. Leonard Inks also distributed a list of the <br />vendors that were paid from Redevelopment TIF <br />Funds from July 1, 2011, through December 31, <br />2011. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by Mr. <br />Alford and unanimously carried, the Commission <br />approved a public hearing for March 13, 2012 to <br />add additional appropriation for Blackthorn as <br />result of the LPGA event scheduled for first week <br />in August. <br />Mr. Relos noted his conversation with David <br />Matthews today on a couple matters and that the <br />last remaining townhouse at the old Rink site has <br />been sold. <br />Mr. Aford asked staff where things stand with the <br />Jefferson townhouses. Mr. Relos replied that the <br />site plan and development specs are being finalized <br />with hopes to bring it back to the Commission <br />within the next couple of meetings. <br />Mr. Downes asked for a summary of all the tax <br />11 <br />THE COMMISSION APPROVED A PUBLIC HEARING <br />FOR MARCH 13, 2012 TO ADD ADDITIONAL <br />APPROPRIATION FOR BLACKTHORN AS RESULT <br />OF THE LPGA EVENT SCHEDULED FOR FIRST <br />WEEK IN AUGUST. <br />
