WHEREAS, there was presented to this meeting of the Commission, for its consideration and approval, a copy of page 22E of the Development Plan for the South Bend Central Development Area, a copy of which is attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the Commission finds it desirable and necessary to add a parcel to the acquisition list and it is therefore necessary to further amend the Declaratory Resolution No. 737: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT: 1. The South Bend Central Development Area (Area), which is described in the fifth "WHEREAS" clause hereof, is blighted and constitutes a menace to the social and economic interest of the City of South Bend and its inhabitants and it will be of public utility and benefit to acquire land within such Area and redevelop it under the Act. 2. To accomplish redevelopment of the Area it is necessary to acquire additional land within the Area as shown on page 22D of the Development Plan attached hereto and incorporated herein. 3. It is estimated that the cost of acquiring the property being added to the acquisition list is $318,000. 4. The Development Plan is amended at page 22D as shown by the page attached hereto, and is hereby in all respecter approved. 5. The secretary is hereby directed to file a certified copy of said Development Plan, as amended, with the minutes of this meeting. 6. All other findings, determinations, and conclusions in Resolution No. 737, as amended, shall remain as stated therein. 7. The United States of America is hereby assured of full compliance by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission with regulations of the Department of Housing and Urban Development effectuating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended.
