1� <br />C <br />RESOLUTION NO. 870 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION PETITIONING THE PORTAGE TOWNSHIP <br />ASSESSOR FOR A REASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY IN <br />THE STUDEBAKER CORRIDOR ALLOCATION AREA <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (Commission) <br />has passed Resolution No. 762 on the 10th day of January, 1986, <br />declaring the Studebaker Corridor Development Area to be an <br />allocation area for purposes of allocating and distributing certain <br />property taxes on taxable real and personal property in the <br />Studebaker Corridor Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. <br />6) pursuant to I.C. 36- 7- 14- 39(b); and <br />WHEREAS, the effective date of the allocation provision of <br />Resolution No. 762 was March 1, 1985; and <br />WHEREAS, I.C. 36- 7- 14 -39(e) provides that each assessor shall, <br />upon petition of the Redevelopment Commission, reassess the taxable <br />property situated upon or in or added to the allocation area, <br />effective on the next assessment date after the petition. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission, as follows: <br />Section 1. The Commission hereby petitions the Portage <br />Township Assessor to reassess the taxable real and personal <br />property situated upon or in or added to the Studebaker Corridor <br />Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. 6), effective on <br />the next assessment date after this petition. <br />Section 2.
