.. . , a <br />RESOLUTION NO. 871 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION PETITIONING THE PORTAGE TOWNSHIP <br />ASSESSOR FOR A REASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY IN <br />THE RUM VILLAGE INDUSTRIAL PARK ALLOCATION AREA <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (Commission) <br />has passed Resolution No. 650 on the 18th day of December, 1981, <br />declaring the Rum Village Industrial Park Allocation Area (South <br />Bend Allocation Area No. 4) to be an allocation area for purposes <br />of allocating and distributing certain property taxes on taxable <br />real property in the allocation area pursuant to I.C. <br />36- 7- 14- 39(b); and <br />WHEREAS, the effective date of the allocation provision of <br />Resolution No. 650 was March 1, 1981; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has passed Resolution No. 718 on the <br />12th day of October, 1984, declaring the Rum Village Industrial <br />Park to be an allocation area for the purposes of allocating and <br />distributing certain property taxes on taxable personal property in <br />the allocation area pursuant to I.C. 36- 7- 14- 39(b); and <br />Ask <br />WHEREAS, the effective date of the allocation provision of <br />Resolution No. 718 was March 1, 1984; and <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (Commission) <br />has passed Resolution No. 783 on the 12th day of September, 1986, <br />declaring an additional area within the Rum Village Industrial Park <br />to be an allocation area for the purposes of allocating and <br />distributing certain property taxes on taxable property in the <br />allocation area pursuant to I.C. 36- 7- 14- 39(b), to be known as the <br />Rum Village Industrial Park Allocation Area Parcel Two; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 783 designated the allocation area <br />previously designated in Rum Village Industrial Park to be known <br />thereafter as Rum Village Industrial Park Allocation Area Parcel <br />One, with effective dates thereof to remain unchanged for base <br />valuation purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, the effective date of the allocation provision for Rum <br />Village Industrial Park Allocation Area Parcel Two of Resolution <br />No. 783 was March 1, 1986; and <br />ro WHEREAS, I.C. 36- 7- 14 -39(e) provides that each assessor shall, <br />upon petition of the Redevelopment Commission, reassess the taxable <br />real and personal property situated upon or in or added to the <br />allocation area, effective on the next assessment date after the <br />petition. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission, as follows: <br />Section 1. The Commission hereby petitions the Portage <br />Township Assessor to reassess the taxable real and personal <br />property situated upon or in or added to the Rum Village Industrial <br />Park Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. 4), Parcel One <br />and Parcel Two, effective on the next assessment date after this <br />petition. <br />Section 2. A copy of this resolution shall be sent to the <br />Portage Township Assessor as the petition for such reassessment. <br />
