.. . , a RESOLUTION NO. 871 RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION PETITIONING THE PORTAGE TOWNSHIP ASSESSOR FOR A REASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY IN THE RUM VILLAGE INDUSTRIAL PARK ALLOCATION AREA WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (Commission) has passed Resolution No. 650 on the 18th day of December, 1981, declaring the Rum Village Industrial Park Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. 4) to be an allocation area for purposes of allocating and distributing certain property taxes on taxable real property in the allocation area pursuant to I.C. 36- 7- 14- 39(b); and WHEREAS, the effective date of the allocation provision of Resolution No. 650 was March 1, 1981; and WHEREAS, the Commission has passed Resolution No. 718 on the 12th day of October, 1984, declaring the Rum Village Industrial Park to be an allocation area for the purposes of allocating and distributing certain property taxes on taxable personal property in the allocation area pursuant to I.C. 36- 7- 14- 39(b); and Ask WHEREAS, the effective date of the allocation provision of Resolution No. 718 was March 1, 1984; and WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission (Commission) has passed Resolution No. 783 on the 12th day of September, 1986, declaring an additional area within the Rum Village Industrial Park to be an allocation area for the purposes of allocating and distributing certain property taxes on taxable property in the allocation area pursuant to I.C. 36- 7- 14- 39(b), to be known as the Rum Village Industrial Park Allocation Area Parcel Two; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 783 designated the allocation area previously designated in Rum Village Industrial Park to be known thereafter as Rum Village Industrial Park Allocation Area Parcel One, with effective dates thereof to remain unchanged for base valuation purpose; and WHEREAS, the effective date of the allocation provision for Rum Village Industrial Park Allocation Area Parcel Two of Resolution No. 783 was March 1, 1986; and ro WHEREAS, I.C. 36- 7- 14 -39(e) provides that each assessor shall, upon petition of the Redevelopment Commission, reassess the taxable real and personal property situated upon or in or added to the allocation area, effective on the next assessment date after the petition. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission, as follows: Section 1. The Commission hereby petitions the Portage Township Assessor to reassess the taxable real and personal property situated upon or in or added to the Rum Village Industrial Park Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. 4), Parcel One and Parcel Two, effective on the next assessment date after this petition. Section 2. A copy of this resolution shall be sent to the Portage Township Assessor as the petition for such reassessment.
