Re prose ntati ivies of the New Jersey, Indiana and Illinois Railroad Co. ( Mr. Ballard, Mr. Hines, Attorney Jones and Crabill, )represent0ives of the Studebaker Corporation ( Mr. Sherman, Mr. Cotter, W. Lippincott) and other Interested parties appeared before the Board and took up with th& Board and d isccused with them the matter of the proposed Industrial ;Spur, and Switch of the New "Jersey, Indiana and fIllinmis Railroad to the Studebaker 'Corporation factory. mr. Sherman of Studebaker 's Corporation explained to the Board the necessity of this industrial spur and. switch, and it was decided after 'd iseuss ing this matter with different members of the Railroad Company and the Studebaker Corporation, that a trip be made by the Beard to investigate the same. The date for making said trip was set for the afternoon at 1:30 P.M. December 26th.1,1919. Henewa 1 of exvacat ion bond of L. E. Albright for $1000, 00 Dollars a ppr oved by the Board. Renewal: of J. H. Hawblitsel excavation bond for the sum of 1, 000. OODollars w,,s approved by the Board. r Petition filed for a sewer on Wakewa, .Avenue from Lafayette Street to Iroquois Street. Same read and placed on file. The following assignment was approved by the Board. ASSIGNMENT. This Agreement, made mad by and between the Western Construction Company "of the City of Mishawaka County of St. Joseph, in the State of Indiana, party of the first part, and the White Construction Company a corporation organised and existing under the laws of the State of Wisconsin and located in the City of Milwaukee, party of the second part:- WITNESSETH: - AS , the said party of the first part haft made and entered into a contract with the City of South Bend, for the improvement of Birner Street, from Alleg Str*et to Blaine Avenue, under Improiement &solution No. 674. In the C it y of South Bend, Indiana. j i WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the said part of the f irst part assign said contract to said party of the second part, upon re-ce iving consent in wr it ing of th � ' boa d of Pub 1 ie Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana. NOW THEREFORE, said part y of the first part does hereby` se11, assign and -set Over onto the said party of the oeond part, its usceesors and assigrm thesaid contract, and all rights and interests thereinggivea to or required by the said party of the first part, together with the right to receipt all paymfnts nd compensation for work done _ . by said contract, herein provided to be paid, with full .�avaer and aut4ority to give proper rwceipU and acquittances therefor, either in the name of the party of the first part or of the party of the second part.
