an <br />0 <br />Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present. <br />Mr. C. S. Kennedy, General Superintendent of the Indiana & Michigan <br />Electric Company met with the Board in regard to a permit to out Into Jefferson <br />Blvd. pavement to run service connection to the Blackstone Theatre Bldg. on <br />South Michigan Street. The Board agree to issue a permit allowing the Indiana <br />& MichigiLn. Electric Company to cut into the Jefferson Street asphalt pavement <br />at the north end of the alley between Michlgmn�and St. Joseph Streets. The said <br />duct to run from Jefferson Street south to tkna point in the rear of the <br />Blackstone Theatre Building and to includ°e the installation of a manhole in the <br />alley fit° the rear of the Blackstone Theatre Building atlas per plans and speci- <br />fications on file in the office of the Board*of Public Works. <br />Blue priht of same submitted to the Board and approved <br />Mr. W. D. Teeple, Commissioner of Build nags and Mr. McNabb <br />appeared. before the Board in regard to a permit to erect garage. W. D. Teeple <br />Commissioner. said this garage did not comply with the Code, and the Board advised <br />Both W. D. Teeple and Mr. McNabb that when plans for this garage were filed, <br />they should be presented to the Board and some agreement reached at'that time. <br />Louis Zeiger appeared before the; Board requested an extension of <br />time on contract for grade, curb and walk on Dubail Avenue, same was granted by <br />the Board until 2nd. day of March 1920. <br />Mr. W. H. .Burke, Plumber met with the Board and the matter of <br />Cordtz bill and Schuyler Rose bill for connection of sewer was discussed No act its <br />taken. <br />Financial report of the Cemetery;Sexton approved by the Board. <br />Bill of L. H. Webster allowed on George Wyman Stare Tap. The Board <br />ordered that the George Wyman Company is to pay;25% of bill which is $248.40. Clerk <br />instructed to render bill for .this amount to the George Wyman Company, <br />The Board agreed to pay the balance. Wyman Bilijto be $62.10 <br />Be it resolved by the Board of;Publie Works that C. D. Hildebrand <br />be instruetl5d to purchase the necessary material for the enclosing of the irsit <br />atairwa.y From the Board of Works office to the Hhgineering Dept. office and to <br />employ two ca,rpen.ters now employed in the City Water Works Department to install <br />said work. IC. D. Hildebrand to k&epa record o the purchasing of material and <br />the time of the men employed' in this work and t render said statments to the <br />Board for approval and payment. It was also de 1ded that the alcove men should <br />do any and all small repairs work required in Uie office of the Board of Public <br />*orks and the City Engineer's office also to re air doors in the police barn. <br />The matter of an increase in the caretaker of the City Crematory <br />was brought up by D. C. Layton, Street Commissi ner and it was decided to take <br />no action -on the matter until after January 1st ,1920. <br />De Witt Ingelright met wet with the Board in regard to bids on the <br />Corby Street sewer, received November 25th.,191 tabulated and deferred until <br />this date.
