REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 23, 2012 <br /> <br /> <br />developmental standards for this particular development and for this subdivision. It will <br />also allow for flexibility with side yard and front yard setbacks. Mr. Danch noted that <br />they will develop 53 lots with park areas with a park area at the very end of the southwest <br />corner. He stated that construction will start in the spring. <br /> <br />This being the time heretofore set for the Public Hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. <br /> <br />The following individuals spoke in favor of this bill: <br /> <br />Marguerite Taylor, 714 Corby Blvd., South Bend, Indiana, spoke in favor of the bill. She <br />stated that she has lived in the neighborhood her whole life and urged the Council’s <br />favorable consideration. She stated that this project is a wonderful addition to the great <br />things that are happening in her neighborhood. <br /> <br />Laurel Webster, 701 W. Horward, South Bend, Indiana, spoke in favor of the bill. She <br />asked the Council for their favorable recommendation. <br /> <br />There being no one else present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in <br />opposition to this bill. Councilmember Dieter made a motion for favorable <br />recommendation to full Council concerning this bill as substituted. Councilmember <br />Oliver Davis seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> <br /> <br />BILL NO. 84-11 PUBLIC HEARING ON A BILL OF THE <br />COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, TO CREATE THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND CERTIFIED TECHNOLOGY <br />PARK FUND (#439) <br /> <br />Councilmember Dieter made a motion to continue this bill until the February 13, 2012 <br />meeting of the Council.
