Hayes, Inc. seeking a Special Exception to allow three (3) 90'radio <br /> communications towers in a"LI"District and for the following variances: from the monopole type towers to <br /> lattice type towers; from the required landscaping to no landscaping; from the required hard surface <br /> driveway to a soft surface grass access; from the required co-location on towers to a single user; and from the <br /> required 500'minimum from residential use to 124', on property located at 3826 Nimtz Parkway, German <br /> Township. Zoned'U" <br /> MRS. KERRY WALLACE: i work for Charles S. Hayes, Inc., our office is located at 814 Marietta Street in <br /> South Bend. I'm here today to petition for a Special Exception use as well as variances to build three ninety <br /> foot self support radio communications structures at a site that is owned by Charles S. Hayes, Inc. at 3826 <br /> Nimtz Parkway in South Bend. The parcel is approximately 5 acres in size and it's zoned Light Industrial. <br /> This is going to supplement an existing facility that we have there with 155 foot radio communication tower. <br /> And it is going to be designed as a global communication hub to be part of a wireless network providing data <br /> communications covering large international areas. It will further develop our market to new technologies <br /> utilizing fiber optics and other data interfaces promoted in our area to be part of a global network.
