2� 2 � ..a 61a�,� -p�- 28� � <br /> FIRE DEPARTI�IENT: Chief Andrzewski was present and matters pertaining to his <br /> department were discussed. <br /> Applications to the Fire Department were examined and ordered filed for <br /> Joseph Stephen Kuhar� 1�lilliam Raymond 1�lensits� and Patrick Thomas Walsh� Jr. <br /> An agreement between the Board and German Township for fire service was <br /> agreed on. <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT : Clzief Trevey was present and matters pertaining to his <br /> department were discussed. <br /> ' An application to the Police Department was examined and ordered filed for <br /> Patrick Thomas Walsh� Jr. <br /> Harry Nicodemus� representing the St. Joseph Valley Boat Club Inc, � and the <br /> Junior Association of Commerce� Inc. � appeared before the Board to ask for <br /> permission to erect specta'tors stands on Ironwood Brive Bridge on May 2�th <br /> to May 30th inclusive. After a full d3scussion of the matter� it was the <br /> Boasds decision that due to condition of traffic and the safety of people <br /> using the Bridge� permis,sion should not be granted. <br /> Emil De Wispelaere presented his application for retirement from the Police <br /> Department effectine Ju1y l� 19�-9. This was approved by the Board. <br /> ELEC2'RICAL' DEPARTMENT: Mr_._ t^lilliam Qualls Superintendent� was present and <br /> matters pertaining to his department were d�scussed. <br /> Mr. Qualls reported that lights ordered in on Linden Avenue� west of Olive <br /> Street on Meade Street between Lincoln �d. W. and Bonds Avenue and on <br /> Beyer �ivenue and Eddy Street have been installed and are now in use. <br /> WE�GHTS AND MEASURES;:_Mr.. Charles J.
