� �� Chief Trevey informed the Board that he was in need of two netia cars for the Departmettt and the Clerk of the Board was directed to adver- tise for same. One car is to be traded in on these. The Chief also indicated that he would be in need of a Mobile Radio Receiver and Transmitter for one of the new cars and the Clerk was also directed to advertise for the radio� both bids to be returnable on May 23, 19�+9. A policy was adopted by the Police Departsent in regard to vacations for new members o£ the Department as follows: Each new member shall not receive any vacation until such t�ma as he shall have completed his pro- ' bationary period and the calandas year in which he was appointed. ELECTRICAL DEPARTh�NT: _Mr� William Qualls� Superintendent� was present and matters pertaining to his departnent were discussed. A petition was received asking for a street light on Liberty Street and Sample Street. This was referred to Mr. Qualls for investigation and report. Mr. Qualls recommended the installation of a �treet light at the inter- section of Roberts and Ruskin Streets and the Board� upon his recommendation� directed his to order the light insta�led.
