Contract No. - 080114-VCM <br />To Whom it May Concern: <br />This proposal is made via the Sourcewell Contract No: 080114-VCM. <br />Sourcewell was formerly known as NJPA, a federal bid contract company that <br />holds thousands of previously bid contracts for government agencies to, purchase <br />off of. This is an ALTERNATE PROPSAL and purchasing option to the bid you <br />have published. Purchasing from this contract does not require a bid bond or <br />State Form 95, it is accepted through the Indiana State Board of Accounts and has <br />been utilized by several surrounding municipalities to purchase various types of <br />equipment including snow plow and dump trucks. For more information regarding that please <br />contact: Gary Lindesmith (LindCo Equipment) at (219) 795-1448 <br />Chassis Notes <br />Front Axle: 16K Rating instead of 18K, the l6and 18K rated axles are identical <br />in everywhere. The additional charge for 18 is based on the expectation that <br />heavier loads will require a higher rate of warr anty repair. See attached brochure <br />for specification of axles. This allows the use of a single gearbox for steering <br />requiring less maintenance. <br />Rear Axle: 23K Rating instead of 26K, The 23 and 26 have the same ring gear <br />and axle shaft size and are within.06" in wall thickness. <br />Engine: We exceed the minimum rating with 350hp/l 150 lb. ft. of torque <br />Frame Rating: The frame provided is used in all INDOT snow and ice vehicles <br />and is a single channel frame rail rated to 21.6/2,592M. This prevents the <br />deterioration of frame rails due to rust and separation between the inner <br />reinforcement. <br />All other spee requirements, are met or exceeded with this proposal <br />Should this spec need to be altered it can be accommodated on the chassis side <br />but will delay delivery times. <br />
