Contract No. - 080114-VCM To Whom it May Concern: This proposal is made via the Sourcewell Contract No: 080114-VCM. Sourcewell was formerly known as NJPA, a federal bid contract company that holds thousands of previously bid contracts for government agencies to, purchase off of. This is an ALTERNATE PROPSAL and purchasing option to the bid you have published. Purchasing from this contract does not require a bid bond or State Form 95, it is accepted through the Indiana State Board of Accounts and has been utilized by several surrounding municipalities to purchase various types of equipment including snow plow and dump trucks. After reviewing this purchasing option, should the city decide it would need the above information signed to be in a binding contract with the city, we will do so. The additional charge for 18 is based on the expectation that heavier loads will require a higher rate of warr anty repair. See attached brochure for specification of axles. This allows the use of a single gearbox for steering requiring less maintenance. Rear Axle: 23K Rating instead of 26K, The 23 and 26 have the same ring gear and axle shaft size and are within.06" in wall thickness. Engine: We exceed the minimum rating with 350hp/l 150 lb. ft. of torque Frame Rating: The frame provided is used in all INDOT snow and ice vehicles and is a single channel frame rail rated to 21.6/2,592M. This prevents the deterioration of frame rails due to rust and separation between the inner reinforcement. All other spee requirements, are met or exceeded with this proposal Should this spec need to be altered it can be accommodated on the chassis side but will delay delivery times.
