CITY OF SOUTH BEND PE-rF, BvIviGIEG., MAYOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />October 15, 2018 <br />Board of Public Works <br />City of South Bend <br />1316 County City Building <br />227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Eric Horvath, Director <br />RE, Revision of Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permits <br />Dear Board Members: <br />The Division of Environmental Services recommends approving, at the October 23, 2018 Board of Public <br />Works Meeting, the revisions to the Industrial Discharge Permits for the following currently permitted <br />Significant Industrial Users: <br />1) Aramark <br />2) Edcoat <br />3) Federal Mogul <br />4) Honeywell <br />5) Imagineering Sample Street <br />6) Irnagineering Foundation Court <br />7) IN Tek & IN Irate <br />8) Linde <br />9) McCormick <br />10) Monarch <br />11) Steel Warehouse <br />12) Pioneer <br />13) South Bend Ethanol <br />14) Suzuki <br />15) TK Finishing <br />16) Unifrax <br />17) St, Joseph Energy Center (SJEC) <br />18) Town of New Carlisle St. Joseph Energy Center Water Treatment Facility (TNC SJEC WTF) <br />These industries currently have Board of Public Works approved Industrial Discharge Permits. The City of <br />South Bend performed a Technical Re -Evaluation of Local Limitations, as required by the Environmental <br />Protection Agency (EPA), in con unction with the re -issuance of the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant's <br />NPDES discharge permit, DUe to the Re -Evaluation, modifications were made to the City's Local <br />Limitations. The Local Limitations modifications have been approved by the Environmental Protection <br />Agency and the City of South Bend Common Council. The revisions to the Significant Industrial User <br />permits are due to modifications of the City's Local Limitations. Other than the Local Limitations revisions <br />and the change/addition of a revision date, there are no other changes to these permit's requirements. <br />
