Norbert Ziolkotivski was appointed a member of the i�ire Department .subject to the passing of a physical exar:lination by the Cit�r Ph�sician .and �he Physician appointQd by the Boai�d of ij'ire Per_sion �rustees. He ,was previously examined by the City Ph3*sician on P�Iarch 13, 1945 and yras .not recorunended for r`ire Service. . . '1'he �oard made the f'ollov�r.i.ng ruling, a �vritten copv of �rhich was given to Chief DeVleescho��Jer: r'All members of the Fire 'Depa��t�ent returning to dut�r, a�'ter release rrom the armed f'orces of �the United S�ates, should be required to pass �n examinatian generally deter:ninin� their p�ysical and riental fitness for active duty. If they are unable to pass such an exa�-nination, your Pension Board should be immediately notified and the men placed upon disability pension. " Upon the recommendation of the 1�'ire Chief, the bid of the Fabric �'ire Hose Company �vas accepted for the follovrin� : I500 feet of 22" Fire Iiose at �1.20 per foot; total price �1800.00� and 400 I'ee� of 3/4" Booster �ose at .495 per foot, tl price �198.00, with a three year guarantee on all hose.
