h <br />REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 11.2007 -~-' <br />and Declaration for Retirement for Lieutenant Charles Eakins, Jr., effective December 31, 2007. <br />In his letter, Chief Fautz noted that Lieutenant Eakins is retiring in good standing after serving <br />for the last thirty-four (34) years, five (5) months, and eight (8) days. Chief Fautz joined the <br />Board in thanking him for his years of distinguished service to the South Bend Police <br />Department and the citizens of South Bend. Members also wished him a long and happy <br />retirement. Upon a motion made by Mr. Cottrell, seconded by Ms. Dempsey and carried, the <br />retirement was accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RETIREMENT -SERGEANT ARTHUR DEAK <br />President Alford advised that Chief Thomas Fautz has submitted to the Board the Application <br />and Declaration for Retirement for Sergeant Arthur Deak, effective December 24, 2007. In his <br />letter, Chief Fautz noted that Sergeant Deak is retiring in good standing after serving for the last <br />thirty-four (34) years, and eight (8) days. Chief Fautz joined the Board in thanking him for his <br />years of distinguished service to the South Bend Police Department and the citizens of South <br />Bend. Members also wished him a long and happy retirement. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Cottrell, seconded by Ms. Dempsey and carried, the retirement was accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RETIREMENT -SERGEANT THOMAS MAMMON <br />President Alford advised that Chief Thomas Fautz has submitted to the Board the Application <br />and Declaration for Retirement for Sergeant Thomas Mammon, effective December 21, 2007. In <br />his letter, Chief Fautz noted that Sergeant Mammon is retiring in good standing after serving for <br />the last thirty-three (33) years, six (6) months, and fourteen (14) days. Chief Fautz joined the <br />Board in thanking him for his years of distinguished service to the South Bend Police <br />Department and the citizens of South Bend. Members also wished him a long and happy <br />retirement. Upon a motion made by Mr. Cottrell, seconded by Ms. Dempsey and carried, the <br />retirement was accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RETIREMENT -CHIEF RICHARD KILGORE <br />President Alford advised that Chief Thomas Fautz has submitted to the Board the Application <br />and Declaration for Retirement for Chief Richard Kilgore, effective December 28, 2007. In his <br />' letter, Chief Fautz noted that Chief Kilgore is retiring in good standing after serving for the last <br />thirty-six (36) years, and eight (8) days. Chief Fautz joined the Board in thanking him for his <br />years of distinguished service to the South Bend Police Department and the citizens of South <br />Bend. Members also wished him a long and happy retirement. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Cottrell, seconded by Ms. Dempsey and carried, the retirement was accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RETIREMENT -CAPTAIN JOHN WILLIAMS <br />President Alford advised that Chief Thomas Fautz has submitted to the Board the Application <br />and Declaration for Retirement for Captain John Williams, effective December 25, 2007. In his <br />letter, Chief Fautz noted that Captain Williams is retiring in good standing after serving for the <br />last thirty-four (34) years, nine (9) months, and twelve (12) days. Chief Fautz joined the Board <br />in thanking him for his years of distinguished service to the South Bend Police Department and <br />the citizens of South Bend. Members also wished him a long and happy retirement. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Cottrell, seconded by Ms. Dempsey and carried, the retirement was <br />accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RETIREMENT -LIEUTENANT DONALD KUZMITS <br />President Alford advised that Chief Thomas Fautz has submitted to the Board the Application <br />and Declaration for Retirement for Lieutenant Kuzmits, effective December 31, 2007. In his <br />letter, Chief Fautz noted that Lieutenant Kuzmits is retiring in good standing after serving for the <br />last thirty-four (34) years, and fifteen (15) days. Chief Fautz joined the Board in thanking him <br />for his years of distinguished service to the South Bend Police Department and the citizens of <br />South Bend. Members also wished him a long and happy retirement. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Cottrell, seconded by Ms. Dempsey and carried, the retirement was accepted and approved. <br />ACCEPT AND APPROVE RETIREMENT -LIEUTENANT PAUL W. BRADFIELD III <br />President Alford advised that Chief Thomas Fautz has submitted to the Board the Application <br />and Declaration for Retirement for Lieutenant Paul W. Bradfield III, effective December 28, <br />2007. In his letter, Chief Fautz noted that Lieutenant Bradfield is retiring in good standing after <br />serving for the last thirty-two (32) years, and thirteen (13) days. Chief Fautz joined the Board in <br />thanking him for his years of distinguished service to the South Bend Police Department and the <br />citizens of South Bend.
