ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 19, SECTION 2- 213(a) OF THE <br />SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE TO UPDATE THE TABLE OF <br />CODE VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The Table inset of Chapter 2, Article 19, Section 2- 213(a) of the South Bend Municipal Code <br />is a summary of all acts which constitute violations of the South Bend Municipal Code along with <br />the penalties prescribed for each violation. This table has not been revised recently to reflect <br />changes, and additions to the listed violations and their respective penalties. This ordinance provides <br />the necessary update. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA as follows: <br />Section I. Chapter 2, Article 19, Section 2- 213(a) of the South Bend Municipal Code shall <br />be amended to read as follows: <br />(a) The following schedule of ordinance and code provisions are subject to admission of <br />violation before the Violations Clerk and includes the amount of the civil penalty to be <br />assessed a violator who elects to admit a violation: <br />TABLE INSET: <br />Municipal <br />Code Section <br />Type of Violation <br />Penalty <br />4 -8 <br />Licensing violation <br />50.00 <br />4 -18.5 <br />Adult businesses <br />up to 2,500.00 <br />4 -19 <br />Arborist license <br />4 -20 <br />Automotive repair and service centers <br />50.00 up to 2,500.00 <br />4 -20.5 <br />Vehicle removal service <br />15C - 50.00 <br />2nd -250.00+ <br />thereafter - 250.00 up <br />to 2,500.00 <br />4-22 <br />Carnivals and circuses <br />400.00 up to 2,500.00 <br />
