South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting—December 13, 2011
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
A. Public Hearings
(3) continued...
DIMITRIOS VASILIADES: In what time
frame would that property be acquired?
MR. SIKORA: There is no specific time
frame; it would be as development allows. In
the case of 401 N. Bendix, if it would be
necessary for the expansion of the existing
Bosch facility, then the city would look into
acquiring that. The parcels on 1300 S.
Michigan would be as a development project
came into play.
MR. VASILIADES: Within ten years?
MR. SIKORA: More like two to five years.
Ms. Jones asked if there was anyone else
who wished to speak regarding Resolution
No. 2967. There being no one else who
wished to speak, Ms. Jones closed the public
hearing for whatever action the Commission
wished to take.
(4) Consideration of Resolution No. 2967.
Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION No.2967
Mr. Varner and unanimously carried, the CONFIRMING A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE
Commission approved Resolution No. 2967 DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE AIRPORT
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA AND ADDING
confirming a resolution amending the ONE OR MORE PARCELS TO THE LIST OF PARCELS
Development Plan for the Airport Economic TO BE ACQUIRED
Development Area and adding one or more
parcels to the List of Parcels to be Acquired.
(5) Public Hearing on Resolution No. 2969
confirming a resolution amending the
Development Plan for the Northeast
Neighborhood Development Area.
22
