<br />WHEREAS, the Commission desires to change the base assessment
<br />date for parcels 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the South Bend Allocation Area
<br />No. lA from March 1, 1985 to March 1, 1988 as permitted by rules of
<br />the State Board of Tax Commissioners; and
<br />WHEREAS, Section 17.5 of the act provides for the means for
<br />amending a resolution or plan; and
<br />to, WHEREAS, at the hearing held by the Commission on the 23rd
<br />day of February, 1990, at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, at
<br />1200 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana, the Commission
<br />heard all persons interested in the proceedings and received and
<br />considered 0 written remonstrances and objections and other
<br />such evidence presented.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment
<br />Commission, governing body of the City of South Bend, Department of
<br />Redevelopment, as follows:
<br />1. Resolution No. 737, as amended, is hereby further amended
<br />by changing the base assessment dates for parcels 5, 6, 7 and 8
<br />from March 1, 1985 to March 1, 1988. Any taxes levied on the
<br />property imposed under I.C. 6 -1.1 in the allocation area shall be
<br />allocated, distributed and used as provided in Resolution 737, as
<br />amended, and the act.
<br />2. The Commission finds that the proposed amendment to
<br />Resolution No. 737, as amended, is reasonable and appropriate when
<br />considered in relation to the Development Plan and to Resolution
<br />No. 737, as amended, respectively, and the purposes of the Act.
<br />3. The Commission finds that this proposed amendment to
<br />Resolution No. 737, as amended, conforms to the comprehensive plan
<br />of the City.
<br />4. The secretary is hereby directed to file a certified copy
<br />of this resolution with the County Auditor.
<br />5. The secretary is hereby directed to record this Resolution
<br />pursuant to the requirements of I.C. 36- 7- 14- 17.5(g).
<br />6. All other findings, determinations, and conclusions in
<br />Resolution No. 737, as amended, shall remain as stated therein.
<br />7. The United States of America is hereby assured of full
<br />compliance by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission with
<br />regulations of the Department of Housing and Urban Development
<br />effectuating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended.
