This is EXHIBIT K, consisting of 2 pages, referred to in <br />and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer <br />for Professional Services dated June 1, 2018. <br />AMENDMENT TO OWNER -ENGINEER AGREEMENT <br />Amendment No. 1 <br />1. Background Data: <br />a. Effective Date of Owner -Engineer Agreement: June 1, 2018 <br />b. Owner: Board of Public Works, City of South Bend, Indiana <br />C. Engineer: Gregory A. Kil & Associates, Inc. (d/b/a Kil Architecture/Planning) <br />d. Project: <br />South Bend Waste Water Treatment Plant <br />2. Description of Mod fications: <br />a. Engineer shall perform or furnish the following Additional Services: <br />SERVICES FOR THE SOUTH BEND WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT BUILDING #3 <br />A. DOCUMENTATION PHASE: <br />Owner has some limited plan documentation that will serve as a basis for developing existing conditions <br />plans. The Architect will visit site and take photos. Architect to provide field verification of plan <br />documentation to develop existing conditions AutoCAD floor plans. Architect to develop CAD plans and <br />elevations from drawings provided by Owner and field measurements. <br />B. PROGRAM SCOPE: <br />Owner has concerns about water damage infiltrating the existing envelope. <br />Identify and recommend remodeling to address exterior envelope upgrades to prevent water <br />infiltration: <br />a. Repair Masonry: rebuild all masonry above the window lintel bearing and tuck -point, as <br />required <br />b. Repair/replace deteriorated steel lintels, parapet damage, wall cracks, etc. <br />c. Verify leaks at roof above suspended ceiling, repair roof deck and provide new <br />membrane roof, (TPO white membrane, 20 yr. warranty). <br />d. Repaint interior walls <br />e. Replace/modify windows, update weather-stripping, provide sealant <br />f. Establish budget construction cost based on schematic design remodeling and upgrades <br />scope identified <br />C. PRELIMINARY DESIGN: <br />Once scope items. A has been completed and item B has been confirmed, preliminary design plans for <br />the envelope rehabilitation will be developed for review with the Owner. Upon review of preliminary <br />drawings and documents with Owner, subsequent revisions to the plans and documents will be <br />developed.
