Under Indiana law, I.C. 36-4-7- <br /> 2(c),the Mayor's salary may not be reduced from the prior year's amount. This ordinance increases <br /> the Mayor's 2019 salary by 2% over his 2018 salary which is the same as the proposed increase <br /> for other non-bargaining employees. <br /> I will present this bill to the Common Council at the appropriate committee and council meetings. <br /> It is requested that this bill be filed for 1St reading on September 24,2018,with 2nd reading,public <br /> hearing and 3`d reading scheduled for October 8, 2018.
