INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Information Technologies Department
227 W Jefferson Blvd (574) 246-6000
TO: Board of Public Works, Linda Martin
CC: Dan O'Connor
FROM: Michael E. Sniadecki, Director of Infrastructure
SUBJECT: City of South Bend UPS Addition/Replacement - Graybar
DATE: 8/30/18
Linda, Sandra, Clara, Jennifer & Michael,
With this being over $5,000, please see the attached quote regarding purchasing UPS
(Uninterruptible Power Supply) Batteries. UPS is an electrical apparatus that provides
emergency power to a load when the input power source or main power fails. We are
requesting to purchase 5 UPS devices to replace bad UPS or add to new locations with
the 4 going to Morris, Fire Station #3, Colfax Garage and Wayne Street Garage with a
fifth one being a spare.
The Office of Innovation and Technology team reviewed the quote and give favorable
recommendation.
The cost is $9,381.19 which include UPS and other accessories including network cards
and warranties. We received two quotes and we will be purchasing from Graybar of
South Bend.
Thank you,
Michael E. Sniadecki
