667 The following Resolution was adopted by the Board. COPY OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 72, 1923. RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: Thai, it is desirable to vacate the following: 1. The alley running 'north and south between lots Nos. 6 & 7 in Raff's First Addition to the City of South Bend on the.East, and lots 5 and 8 R�iff's First Addition to the City of South,Bend on the West. 2. The"first alley.north of Leon Court, beginning at the East line of Kendall Street and extending to the first alley running south from said alley to be vacated. 3. The alley running North and South between Kendall Street on the East and Chapin Street and Praiiie-Avenue on the west, beginning at -a point 36 feet north of the north line of the east an West alley between Leon Court°and Stull Street and extending north to where said alley connects with Kendall Street.' 4. The alley running North and South between Chapiri:Street on the East and Catalpa and Prairie Avenues on the Westf beginning at a point 36 feet north -of the north line of the_east and west alley which lies between Leon Court and Stull Street and extending north to°a point where said alley intersects Chapin Street. 5. Leon Court from the east line cif Kendall Street eastward to the first north and south alley. 6. Kendall Street from a point 36 feet north of'the north line of the east and west alley lying between Leon Court and Stull Street to the north end of Kendall Street. 17. Chapin Street from a point 36 feet north of the north line of the east and west alley lying between Leon Court and Stull Street north to Prairie Avenue. 8. Catalpa Avenue from a point 36 feet north of the north line of the east and --west alley lying between Leon Court and Stull Street nvtlh to Prairie Avenue. 9. The alley North of Lot No. 1. Oliver's First Addition, extending from Prairie to Kendall Street. 10. Stull Street from the east line of Catalpa Avenue to- the west line. of Kendall Street. 11. Garst Street from the east line of Chapin Street to the west line of Kendall Street. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Indiana Avenue nd the center line of the first, alley west of Catalpa Avenue; thence north along the center line of said alley west of Catalpa Aveme and said alley extended north to the censer of Leon Court; thence east along the center line of Leon Court to the first alley west of Catalpa Avenue; thence north along the alley west of Catalpa Avenue to the first alley north of Leon Court; thence west along the first alley north of Leon Court to the west line of Prairie Avenue; thence north to the cen-ter line of Garst Street; - thence east along the center line of Garst Street tothe ist. alley west of Chapin Street; thence north along the alley west of Chapin Street to Sample Street; thence east, along Sample Street to the center line of Scott Street extended north; thence south along the center line of Scott. Street extended north and Scott Street to the center line of the right of way of the St. Joseph, South Bend and Southern R. R. Co. thence west along the center line of said right of ve to the first alley west of Scott Street; thence south along the first alley west of~ Scott Street to the center line of Indiana Avenue thence west along the center line of Indiana Avenue to the place,of beginning. Notice of this resolution shall be pub ed_on the 7.th. day of Feb. 1923 and on the 14th. day of Feb. 1923 in the South Be ffibune and News Times, This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 7th.'day of March 1923 at 7:15 P.M. will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings.
