2) Republic is without any doubt the most technologically advanced parking <br />management company with deeper pockets, more knowledge, resources and <br />capabilities, presenting some cost - saving opportunities through the use of <br />increased automation and potential purchasing power, lots of national experience <br />in parking garage and parking lot experience, and lots of experience implementing <br />and maintaining automatic equipment in order to reduce people costs. They also <br />offer other consulting resources that would enable us to better measure who is <br />parking where and for how long and, with that information, better enable us to <br />steer parkers to the most cost - efficient locations and maximize the use of our <br />available parking spaces. <br />Bottom line, the interviewers strongly recommend we offer a one year contract to <br />DTSB, with an option to non -renew or extend the contract for two more years <br />with 90 days notice. It is time we pay more attention to customer service than to <br />anything else, including costs, but feel strongly that we can REDUCE those costs <br />over time with the right people creating and maintaining a better, safer, cleaner, <br />more user - friendly environment through cooperation and coordination. <br />It is further recommended specific goals and performance measurements be <br />developed during the next couple weeks. These would then be included in the <br />contract as benchmarks for contract extension(s). <br />Marcia and Greg may wish to elaborate further on their recommendation. <br />
