11.3 RADIO CUTOUT <br />A cutout for installation of a radio shall be provided in the forward section of the <br />overhead squad bench cabinet. A 1/4" black Kydex cover shall also be provided. <br />11.4 SPEAKER SYSTEM <br />Two (2) speakers shall be provided and mounted in the rear module ceiling. They <br />shall be connected to the cab AM/FM radio. A separate volume control and fader <br />shall be provided in the rear action area. <br />11.5 ACTION AREA OVERHEAD CABINET <br />A cabinet shall be installed above the action area and shall be provided with one [1] <br />adjustable shelf. <br />11.5.1 It shall have "restocking type" Plexiglas doors. The doors shall slide, than flip - <br />up for easy, full width access. <br />11.5.2 A full length, aluminum handle shall be provided on each door. <br />11 .6 WRITING DRAWER BELOW ACTION AREA <br />A writing drawer shall be provided below the action area, in the rearward position. It <br />shall have approximate dimensions of 2 3/4" high x 14" wide x 15" deep. It shall <br />have a Plexiglas writing surface with flush mounted hinges at the rearward section, <br />so that when the tray is full extended, the writing surface can be lifted to allow easy <br />access to a storage area below. In the closed position, it shall be flush with the front <br />edge of the cabinetry. The storage area shall be large enough to hold writing <br />instruments, a bound notebook, calculator or small miscellaneous items. <br />11.7 CABINET BELOW ACTION AREA <br />A storage cabinet shall be provided below the 1st action area, in the forward position. <br />This cabinet shall be made of the same materials as the rest of the cabinets.
