This is EXHIBIT K, consisting of 2 pages, referred to in and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services dated May 8, 2018. AMENDMENT TO OWNE, R-F NGINEI ER AGREEMENT Amendment No. 1_ I . Background Data: a. Effective Date of Owner -Engineer Agreement: May 8, 2018 b. Owner; Board of Public Works, City of South Bend G. Engineer; Epoch Architecture + Planning & project; Park Restrooms 2. Description of Modifications: a. Engineer shall perform or furnish the following Additional Services; 1) Evaluate existing electrical facilities at each park restroom being renovated for the addition of electrical hand dryers. Select appropriate products and produce construction documents for the band dryer installations. Where existing electrical panels are not able to be modified, either the panel will be noted to be replaced or an extension panel will be added next to the panel to hold the new breakers for the hand dryers, The installation of hand dryers relates to accessibility by eliminating the need for loose trash cans in the restroom which could block access to fixtures or the door of the restroom. The change will also reduce the maintenance staff time to service the restrooms. 2) Design and produce construction documents for site accessibility improvements at six (6) additional sites found to be out of compliance with ADA requirements: Those parks are Potawatomi, Boelhln, Boland, Southeast Neighborhood, Rum Village and Leeper Parks. 3) All items listed above will be incorporated into the project drawings that have been developed under the original agreement and bid at the same time. b. The schedule for rendering services is modified as follows; Additional one month will. be added to the originally agreed upon schedule for Construction Documents and approximately one month will be added to the expected construction period requiring Architect observation.
