White At-Large <br /> OTHERS PRESENT: <br /> Kareemah Fowler City Clerk <br /> Jennifer Coffman Chief Deputy Clerk <br /> Bianca Tirado Deputy Clerk <br /> Graham Sparks Clerk Executive Assistant <br /> Bob Palmer Council Attorney <br /> Casey Colvin Public Relations Intern <br /> REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br /> Councilmember Oliver Davis made a motion that the minutes of the July 23`d, 2018 meeting of the <br /> Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Gavin Ferlic seconded the motion which <br /> carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> There was no special business. <br /> REPORTS OF CITY OFFICES <br /> Representing the City Administration: Pete Buttigieg, Mayor of the City of South Bend <br /> Mayor Pete Buttigieg approached the podium to present to the Council and public the City Report. <br /> Mayor Buttigieg stated that he intended to address updates on the South Shore Line.He stated that, <br /> at the previous meeting at which he spoke on the subject, there had been investigation into an <br /> opportunity to reorient the train's approach to the South Bend International Airport from the east <br /> side to the west side. The economic analysis that was commissioned looked at several alternatives: <br /> a site co-located with the current Amtrak station, a site close to the property of Honeywell, a site <br /> currently under development by the South Bend Chocolate Company, and a downtown site close <br /> to the South Street Station. He stated that the Administration had been able to have conversations <br /> 1 <br />
